It depends on the size of the room, the tile and fixtures you choose, and whether the layout stays where it is. Anyone who quotes you a price over the phone without seeing the space is guessing. We come out, measure, look at what is behind the walls where we can, and give you a written price with the scope spelled out — free, and with no obligation to move forward.
Yes. The in-home visit, the measurements, the material conversation and the written quote all cost you nothing, and there is no obligation attached. If the number does not work for you, that is a completely fine outcome — we would rather be the honest second opinion than push a project someone regrets.
This is one of our most requested projects. We remove the tub, rebuild the pan with correct slope and waterproofing, then tile it out with the niches, bench and curb configuration that suits the space. Curbless entries are possible where the floor structure allows — we will tell you at the estimate whether yours does.
Either way works. Plenty of homeowners enjoy choosing their own tile and fixtures, and we are happy to install what you pick — we will just tell you honestly if something is a poor fit for the space. If you would rather not deal with it, we will bring options at the budget level you have in mind and handle the sourcing.
The bathroom being remodeled is out of service for the duration — there is no way around that once demolition starts. The rest of your home stays fully usable. We cover floors and hallways, contain dust, and pack up the work area at the end of each day. If your home has only one bathroom, tell us at the estimate and we will plan the sequence to keep the downtime as short as possible.
Two things: planning and leveling. Before anything is set, we lay the room out dry so cuts land where they should and patterns run true — you do not end up with a sliver of tile in the most visible corner. And every install uses a leveling system, so the finished surface has no lippage between tiles. That is the difference you feel underfoot and see when light rakes across a wall.
